A Transfer of Wealth from the Scared to the Bold

your-moneyI’m glad I scrolled down to the bottom of the MaxPersuasion newsletter I received this morning.

It included this very powerful quote:

“A recession is a transfer of wealth from the scared to the bold.”

There wasn’t a reference, so I’m not sure who said it.  When I posted it on Facebook, it immediately gathered thumbs up’s and re-posts.

Many people, including myself, found this an empowering statement, but it also clearly draws a line in the sand.  It says that the scared will lose.  The bold will win.

If you are feeling scared, what can you do to embolden yourself?  What would it take for you to move from the place where you are now, to feeling confident and bold?

Those of us who are feeling strong and empowered during this time, let’s not forget the time when we felt less than.  Our journey has taken us through  peaks and valleys.  I believe that our time in the valley was meant to foster compassion.  Likewise, our time on the summit is meant to give hope.

Wherever you are, I encourage you to be hopeful…give hope…and most of all…be bold!

I’ve been traveling for my other job with The First Tee but maybe in Feb. Hope to see you soon :)

  2. Ricci, Thank you for sharing this! Your blog post reminded me of this:
